During an exchange with wireless industry representatives, Senator Richard Blumenthal asked representatives from each of the major carriers whether they had supported research on the safety of 5G and millimeter wave (MMW) technology and potential links between radiofrequency and cancer – the industry representatives conceded they had not.
None of the five representatives from major telecom carriers or infrastructure builders sent to appear before Blumenthal’s committee were aware of any funding spent on researching the health effects of 5G, nor could they contend that any such research was planned for the future.
“So there really is no research ongoing. We’re kind of flying blind here, as far as health and safety is concerned.” – U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, February 2019
5G relies primarily on the bandwidth of the millimeter wave, known to cause a painful burning sensation. It’s also been linked to eye and heart problems, suppressed immune function, genetic damage and fertility problems.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) admits no 5G safety studies have been conducted or funded by the agency or telecom industry, and that none are planned.
The FCC has been captured by the telecom industry, which in turn has perfected the disinformation strategies employed by the tobacco industry before it.
